The purpose of any homestay is to relax and unwind in casual, natural surroundings. This homestay amidst the hustle bustle of the capital, provides for a home like environment. Dhrub Puri, who himself has traveled a lot within and outside India is an interesting host who is ideal for having conversations on North Indian culture, people and society. Dhrub being a wildlife and sports enthusiast, has explored many National parks, treks and adventure sports options in the northern states of India.
In fact he is always willing to help those interested with the information on the same. Due to his interaction with different people and cultures during his stay in US and other trips abroad, Dhrub knows how to cater to the needs of different guests differently. The homestay, on the second floor of the residential building is an attractively designed abode. The entrance of the house, on the right leads the guests to a huge drawing room with a small balcony attached to it.
Other than the communal space, it has three spacious double bedded rooms with well equipped attached bathrooms. The shades of brown, rust, orange and green used in the decor give an earthy feel to the decor of the house. Modern and traditional wall paintings, prints and artefacts, basically glass and ceramics by local artists and craftsmen decorate the rooms. Cane beds, lamps, wooden furniture and marble flooring in warmly lit rooms make one feel comfortable and at home. Serene homestay, situated in a prime location in South Delhi is closer to all the main markets including Connaught Place, Hauz Khas market, Delhi Haat, Janpath and others. The close by Hauz Khaz market is famous for high fashion garments, carpets, old silver antiques, artefacts and furniture. Hauz Khas area is where the modern surroundings still have traces of its history, traditions and culture in its markets, architecture of buildings, monuments and restaurants.
