Mohali is a commercial hub lying adjacent to the city of Chandigarh in Punjab, India. Mohali, along with Chandigarh and Panchkula, forms a part of the Chandigarh Tricity. It was earlier a part of the Rupnagar District, and was carved out as a separate district in 2006.
Mohali shares its airport and main railway station with the city of Chandigarh. New Delhi is around 255 km from Mohali and takes around 5 hours by road. Mohali is also an excellent base from where to travel to Shimla, Manali, Dehradun and the holy city of Amritsar.
Punjab Cricket Association Stadium: Mohali is famous for its top class cricket stadium which opened in the early 1990s. The stadium has top class facilities and a seating capacity of 30,000 spectators.
